Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMU) took an important step in strengthening academic and cultural ties in the region by hosting the meeting of the Union of Art Universities of the Turkic World. The meeting was attended by leaders and representatives of art and cultural universities in the Turkic World. This event was an important platform that emphasized the importance of cooperation and cultural interaction in the field of arts and education.
Following the meeting, ÇOMU signed bilateral cooperation agreements with prestigious art and cultural institutions from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The agreements were signed with Uzbekistan State University of Arts and Culture, Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts, Kazakhstan T. Jurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts and Uzbekistan Yunus Rajabiy Uzbek National Music Arts Institute.
These agreements will bring cooperation opportunities in many areas such as student and faculty exchange programs, joint projects and cultural events. ÇOMU Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Cüneyt Erenoğlu pointed out that such international collaborations will solidify the university's place in the global education field and contribute to increasing the influence of Turkish universities in cultural and artistic relations.
The signed agreements will provide students with international experiences, making them more competitive in the global labor market. At the same time, academic and cultural cooperation will create new opportunities for both sides. This strategic cooperation stands out as an important part of ÇOMU's global education vision.
