Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) hosted a delegation of academics and students from Urgench State University in Uzbekistan. As part of the visit, faculty members and students from the Departments of English Language and Literature and Art had the opportunity to explore ÇOMÜ’s academic units on site.
The delegation was received by ÇOMÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu in his office. The meeting focused on strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities, developing joint projects, and expanding student exchange programs. The visit was regarded as an important step toward deepening inter-university collaboration.
During the program, the delegation visited the ÇOMÜ International Relations Coordinatorship, the Department of English Language Teaching, and the Faculty of Fine Arts. At the Faculty of Fine Arts, the delegation was accompanied by the Faculty’s Erasmus Coordinator, Lecturer Şeyma Bil, who provided comprehensive information about the faculty’s facilities. Academics and students from the Department of English Language and Literature were hosted by the Erasmus Coordinator of the English Language Teaching Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tekin, who introduced the department and presented collaboration opportunities.
Following the visits, ÇOMÜ International Relations Coordinator Dr. Emrah Yağmurlu and Head of the International Cooperation Unit Dr. Hasan Hakan Başaran briefed the delegation on ÇOMÜ’s internationalization vision and existing partnerships. The meeting also addressed potential student and academic staff exchange programs, joint projects, and cultural exchange opportunities between the two universities.
ÇOMÜ aims to further strengthen its relations with Urgench State University, with the goal of fostering long-term academic and cultural collaborations.
