‘One Plate, One Culture, One World’ Event was Organised

World Cuisine - Cooking Workshops were held with the slogan ‘One Plate, One Culture, One World’.

Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Evren Kareyel Gökkaya, Secretary General Oğuz Ünal, International Relations Coordinator Dr. Emrah Yağmurlu, academicians and students attended the event organised by ÇOMU International Student Office and the Department of Gastronomy of the Faculty of Tourism. 

In his speech, Rector Erenoğlu emphasised that this event is very important in terms of internationalisation and international social relations and said, ‘In the coming periods, we plan to hold such events in different kitchens of the city by linking them to a calendar’ and thanked everyone who contributed to the organisation.

In the event, which was organised for foreign students to introduce their traditional dishes, to celebrate cultural diversity and to create an international interaction in the university environment; international students prepared a traditional dish from their own country together with the students of the gastronomy department and explained their own food culture. 

In the event where information was given about the dishes prepared, the food was tasted by the guests and certificates of appreciation were presented to the participants.
