On 26 November 2024, Seher Kadirova, Tsvetelina Georgieva and Nicola Mihailov, lecturers of University of Ruse ‘Angel Kanchev’, one of the leading universities in Bulgaria, visited Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMU) within the scope of Erasmus Teaching Mobility Programme.

The guest academics were accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anıl Çay from the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering, Faculty of Agriculture, ÇOMU, International Relations Office Coordinator Dr. Emrah Yağmurlu and Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreements Officer Çağrı Eğe welcomed them. During the meetings, opportunities to increase the mobility of students and academics between the two universities were discussed. In addition, an invitation was made for ÇOMU students to take part in an international event organised by the University of Ruse in Bulgaria.

This visit is considered as an important step in deepening academic cooperation and strengthening cultural and educational ties between the two institutions. The relations between ÇOMU and University of Ruse are expected to create new opportunities for the students and academic staff of both universities.

The Rectorate of ÇOMU once again emphasised his belief that such mutual visits will increase the synergy between the two universities and contribute to their internationalisation goals.
