Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Istanbul, Aleksei Shved, visited Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rector Prof. Dr. R. Cüneyt Erenoğlu in his office.

During the visit, the issues of developing educational cooperation between the two countries and strengthening relations between universities were discussed. Rector Erenoğlu introduced the university's internationalisation efforts and student exchange programs and emphasised the importance of Belarusian students taking part in this process.

Consul General Shved expressed the opportunities and cooperation potential of Belarus in the field of higher education and stated that more cooperation between the two sides is possible.

The visit reinforced the determination of both sides to further deepen academic and cultural relations.
