Dr Emrah YAĞMURLU, International Relations Coordinator of our University, and Aysel BARBOROZ, Director of International Student Office, visited Fatih Ahmet Günel, who was recently appointed as Çanakkale Provincial Director of Migration Management, in his office.

During the visit, bureaucratic processes, residence permit applications and current practices faced by international students were discussed in detail. During the meeting, the steps that can be taken to accelerate and facilitate the procedures for international students studying at our university were evaluated.

One of the most important agenda items of the visit was the contributions of international students to the society as ‘cultural ambassadors’. The delegation of our university emphasised that students from different cultures add important values not only academically but also in terms of cultural richness to the society they live in.

The meeting was considered as an important step towards strengthening mutual understanding and institutional cooperation. Our university will continue its efforts to increase the social cohesion of international students while supporting their academic development.

During the visit, university representatives wished Fatih Ahmet Günel good luck and success in his new position. They also expressed their wishes that the cooperation between the two institutions will continue to strengthen.
