With the increase in globalisation in the new millenium, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University is aware of the importance of encouraging, developing and supporting educational, cultural and scientific cooperation with overseas higher education institutions and others. The international outlook of the university is based on the concepts of developing a "knowledge society" and of "life-long learning".

The International Relations Office coordinates all activities with an international dimension and is one of the most dynamic and rapidly developing unit  of the university.
